Luxury Purse vs. Inexpensive Clothes

In my life, my favourite things fashion wise have always been shoes and bags. I always invest more in these items rather than the clothes because they last longer. I even go as far to plan outfits around the purse and shoes I am wanting to wear. So when I budget for a new purse or shoes, I always consider how much I will be spending on clothes that month.
When entering a new season I try to find items on sale or just inexpensive basics to fill the void. If I can't then I will maybe have to change the outfits I'll be wanting to rock to get the new item. This outfit is one that went really well into that philosophy.
I wanted the focus to be the Saint Laurent Blogger bag in most of my outfits this year. This purse was my "big buy" of the year, and I don't regret this choice at all. I think a beautiful purse can really change everything in an outfit. Sometimes the bag is to add shape, other times it's to add a nice personal touch. The gold hardware on the purse makes it more of the statement while the shape and size adds a minimalist touch. It's not over bearing.
The way I feel when I carry a purse is the main reason I chose them over clothes. I find for me sometimes I won't love my clothes but I'll always love my purses.
In short, my purses and shoes will always be my Lux items. I find them to be able to change my perspective and put me in a better mood. I believe there will always be certain items you are drawn too that will have this affect on you.
Budget and change plans for what you love. I can always fall back on a beautiful inexpensive skater skirt in any colour and a neutral top to fill my closet void, whats yours?
God bless!

When sleep just isn't happening?

So I guess it's one of those nights. Those nights where you can't sleep because you're mind is racing and something through out your day was missing. A little thing that makes your heart heal yet without it your heart can still be in pieces. For me that thing is simple worship music. I never really realise how much I listen to it through out my day, until my Ipod is with my mom and I don't fully have the outlet to listen to it unless I'm on my laptop. Seriously though, I don't use my laptop for music, it's more for youtube, blogging, Pinterest and Netflix/Shomi. So now its 12:15am, and I'm sitting listening to worship music trying to open my heart so I can have a nice sleep.

Although I was also in a mood talk. Talk about plans and futures, what I want to learn and do once autumn calls, as I got very excited about it. As we all know fall is my favourite season. It's my new year, a time for change, growth and the last harvest before winter. The food is warmer, the colours are darker and my mood is over all better. It's the most breathable season for myself, I don't feel the want to stay inside. I don't feel as if my face is melting or my feet are wet from the rain or my toes are frozen from the snow. It's just perfect. The colours are the best for my pale skin, I can wear skirts with light tights and not have the feeling of numb legs. Hats and light jackets keep you warm but not too warm and the air smells of pumpkins, falling leaves, and hay. The air is crisp but not cold, and although everything is dying so to speak, it's giving us it's last beauty before everything turns white from snow. Which from the window with a hot chocolate is also beautiful.

So here is what I want to learn and do
                1) before winter hit 500 subscribers
                2) Go for my hair dressing license (before 2017)
                3) Eyebrows (wax and tint)

Yes they are 3 small goals but hey they will lead to much bigger and brighter things!

I guess the good thing about having a blog and youtube is when no one is around there is always someone willing to read what is in your mind. Talking can be down in your head and on my computer and truthfully someone out there is bound to be having a sleepless night as well in need to Worship Jesus before bed and craving a good conversation. So I hope this helps someone as much as it helped me to just type and release thoughts from my mind.

I hope you all have a good sleep/night or maybe afternoon.

          God bless :)

Charlotte Tilbury Review/Collection

So as of May 13 2016, the day before Generation Beauty, I found my new favourite brand. Charlotte Tilbury. Now I don't get sent a lot of product and I doubt she will ever come to know my name, so you can be assured that I am telling the truth when I say these products are amazing.

I went to Holt Renfrew in Toronto and saw her photo and ran inside to get my hands on a product, well lucky me I came out with 2! From then my collection over the months have just kept growing. I first started off with her Wonder Light Foundation in shade 1, which bless her soul, was my very, very fair colour. Also grabbing her Golden Goddess eye pallet. Which might I say is now a staple in my life. Seriously how did I live without those?

Then came my anniversary with Adam, he was kind enough to buy me her brow pencil in Brooke S, Charlotte's new mascara Legendary Lashes, and her "Eyes to Mesmerise" in Jean, which I chose because it was the name of my grandmother.

Then a few weeks later I got some lip products, Pillow talk lip cheat, and Lost Cherry Lipstick (which is a comfortable matte finish), and a cheeky new eye shadow pallet in Uptown girl which truthfully just reinstated the fact that to me, her eyeshadows are amazing.

Lastly though, I picked up a Hot Lip, which is a range that for the first two months (Ends in September) 2$ from every Canadian sale from the lipsticks will go to a UK charity called "Women for Women" which of course I was very down to support. The shade I grabbed was Electric Poppy, name after Poppy Delevingne. Her colour is a bright, slightly vintage pinky red, that I found so flattering on paler skin.  The formula like Lost Cherry is a very wearable and comfortable matte that does not bleed.

If you were to ask if you should give anything in her range a shot, I would say YES! Anything you chose is bound to be amazing, but I would say the top 3 favourites are her Wonder Light foundation, Her eye shadow Pallets, any of them, and her lip cheat in Pillow Talk. Although I really do adore everything so far in the range, and to be honest, my wish list just keeps growing.

I hope you all enjoy reading this and enjoyed the photos! (I am very proud of them!) Anyways God bless.

New Posh Poor?

Sometimes in life I get a random little bubbles of inspiration, given most of them are from Pinterest. Nonetheless, those bubbles make me either change my style of makeup, change what I wear or even change the colour I like best that month. (Although my favourites will always be wine and pink.)  This month, I wanted light pinks, deeper greens and jean fabric. Whether that be in a light pink dress with a jean jacket or a dark green top with jean shorts and a pink lip. I always love that fashion, style and everything can change when you feel it's time for a change. It also inspires me to remake and rebrand my youtube and blog! But what happens when you start to feel like changing your style just isn't you? That was something that this week I struggled with. As a fashion/beauty vlogger who works as a hair dresser it's kind of my job and my life to change my style don't you think? So why this week did I find it so hard to buy an oatmeal coloured sweater and jean shorts that really did look amazing? (I did end up buying them and yes there is a video on them.) My main reason was I felt like it wasn't me, but why did that matter? Don't I make my own style and in return decide what is me?
It's always a crazy thought, and it always runs through my head. Why am I having fear of people judging me for not looking like myself? Does anyone else get this way? Is it a normal girl thing? Or am I just in a style and beauty routine I need to break? After all, change is what make makes people in a sense better.
So I bought the shorts, something I have not bought in a few years because as we all know from my videos I'm a skirt girl but also I bought a grey toned pallet which is also very unlike myself, so maybe this is just a change in my life. I'm 20, change is good at this time in your life. It brings new adventures, new interest and new style that really, I should be embracing. Seriously though what other time in my life will I ever have the chance to do and wear what I want? So I'm deciding to take more fashion risks, more makeup changes and more videos and blog to express such change.
So here's to a more open, more brave, and more beautiful Posh Poor.
        God Bless!

A lot has happened...

Hey everyone, I swear I forgot about this blog, which is awful. To say the least I just tend to do Youtube or Instagram but I wanted to sort of revamp this blog and make it into something I would want to do when I can't seem to film.

As you may know if you watch my Youtube, or follow my social media (all under @EmilyEllenPosh) May and June have been HUGE months for me. So i thought to do a little recap on here! So if you look down you guys can see how many amazing adventures I got to have, people I got to meet, and a lot of short distance travel.
So let started with Generation beauty weekend! Where I got to stay in a hotel, as the event was in Toronto. We stayed downtown and I loved every moment. Swimming, Shopping and Starbucks was the theme of the Friday before the event. That Friday evening I rediscovered a store called Holt Renfrew, which holds the brand everyone lusts for, Charlotte Tilbury. There is where I found my perfect foundation the "Light Wonder" in shade 1 and where my love for this brand started.
The Saturday of the event was magic! I loved every moment I was there! Two Faced gave everyone a full size of there new concealer, Luxie gave a highlighter brush, Pixi gave out face masks. Truthfully there was so much more with every brand that it would take a whole lot to write it all out! After the day ended I met my mom for dinner and to change for the cocktail party, as someone who does not drink, i stuck to Sherlie Temples. The Cocktail party was amazing and a place I met some amazing friends, Alanna and Hanna, ( http://classyontherun.blogspot.ca/) (https://www.instagram.com/hijabsbyhanan/) Along with Catlyn and Jade! (https://www.youtube.com/c/caitlynkreklewich1991) Who are amazing! Check out there pages!! Also I met Desi Perkins, like come on people! That was worth if all on there own! Check out my Vlog! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyqtGLIyz6w
Sunday I went home, and slept for a very long time!

A week later I was back in the city as Adam and I had our first dating anniversary! Which meant another trip to Holt Renfrew and a day at the science centre! It was a fantastic weekend!

Lastly a week later I took my first trip down to the city by self to meet Anastasia beverly hills. It was a day full of first and a grand adventure for my first one alone!

And now I'm here, a week before I go on another summer adventure on a weekend getaway for Adam birthday! I'm very excited for it!
So I hope you enjoy all the photos below! Talk to you soon. God Bless!

another season gone, another started.

So another season has left us, and another has started, My favourite season in fact has started. Autumn! To me this is the new year, its a time for fresh starts. New school year, new clothes, even new makeup. Even though for now I am done school and have headed into a full time job, it still seems like its a new beginning. I am finding myself so much happier then I have been in the past. I have less anxiety and worry a lot less about the future. I haven't on the other hand been getting tons of sleep, which is the price to pay for keeping up with work, youtube, blogging and a social life. So I've gotten some new makeup to help control that little fact about me. I have to say that I really love when a product works out how I assume it will. I shall be doing an updated fall makeup routine for work soon! Hopefully this week if the weather work out!
So that's it for now! I'll be posting more hopefully in the next few weeks, until then keep up with me on my Instagram/Twitter  "EmilyEllenPosh"  which BIG NEWS! Benefit Canada followed me!! So I hope you all have a wonderful day and week! God bless!! :)

LIFE UPDATE AND FUN STUFF :)

Hey there! Once again it's been a very long time and no talking on this part of my life. Although I have kept up on my youtube I can see now that this blog has really been lacking to say the least. Better now then never though as my mom would say! So lets do a nice life update right?

I am done Hair school which is so intense and crazy! I feel like it was just yesterday that I opted to leave University to start on this adventure and follow a passion and not just what everyone else would have wanted my life to be. Hair school was amazing, I learnt so much and enjoyed so much of it, minus my last month but that was due to the fact that all my friends graduated and i was left alone.
All in all though, it was a great life move for me and for being 19 and not just having a job but having a career well I couldn't be happier.

Before being finished with hair school, well a few old/new people came into my life and it has been a great transition, rather then going home right after school or work I had friends to go out with and a really awesome boyfriend to spend time with, He and my friends have really been great. I had them come in to do my final exams which went amazing and turned out to be great hair cuts.
I travelled to Niagara with my high school best friend Ronnie, (I VLOGED IT! CHECK IT OUT below!!!) That was the best graduation trip I could have asked for, and to make things better Jaclyn hill highlighter!! ahhh!!! still can't believe I got it!!! :D

Now onto today, well a couple of weeks ago I moved back home with my mom, which is maybe one of the best choices and t makes life a lot less stressful and a lot more secure for me. Although it's an hour away from my boyfriend and my friends, it was a better choice and I still see them on weekends. (Also I'm sitting in Starbucks and the amount of people who leave their laptops to smoke makes me laugh) I have multiple job interview which has taken up a lot of my time and life for the next little bit and my only hope is for full time ans to get signed off fast so I can start making people feel happy, beautiful and secure with who they are, and who they would want to become.

Well that's it for now, but I'll leave you with some photos and links to videos!!! Have an amazing day! God bless :)
