HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

Happy New Year, let us welcome 2013 with a statement about our style. So today I decided I wanted to welcome the new year wearing something timeless yet in the moment. For makeup I kept it simple with just foundation, blush and mascara. I wanted to go into the New Year as clean and as me as possible. With blown out hair done by well myself. My outfit is a statement of me, with a colourful floral skirt with blue, yellow, grey and red. To complement the yellow in the skirt and add something more, I put on medium tone purple leotards with a shirt almost the same colour. I was a little worried about how it would look but it came out amazing and very me. 
Whatever you might be dong or wearing to ring in 2013 make sure it you, and not someone else because the in the end when you look at yourself in the morrow you should think "I am Beautiful' if you don't then it take it off and start over because Confidence is the greatest accessory know to every woman and girl. Let's face it, confidence also helps with getting the midnight kiss too.

Beauty within you!

Some girls need rings, others need hats and more often then most some need makeup. It's really as simple as that, we tend to view ourselves in a way that we can only see our outside beauty and never the inside. To be beautiful on the outside is to start from within right? Outside beauty fades with time which inside never leaves. As we get older we see the amazing image God made us out to be. When were younger we don't see pretty or ugly, we just see others which may be friends.  When we start to see pretty and ugly that's when we get put into groups. Ugly kids can't talk to the pretty ones and vise verso, but what if we change that? What if we began to look at people the way God does and look at people from the inside out and not the outside in. Look at people for their minds, see if you like their personality instead of their face. You are beautiful on the inside and out no matter what others tell you! That I know because you are a child of God and that's how he made everyone.

Sad News, Sick Days

So for the past few days I have been sick. Not to much of a harsh sickness but a very bad headache and feeling like crap sickness, NOT FUN! So today is my second day staying home, at my mom request I do so. So I do not "over work myself" so today I've decided to write a post talking about some beauty news I've recently read about. One is that more high end makeup brands will start testing on animals again. These brand may include: Urban Decay, MAC, Makeup-forever, YSL, and many more. 
(Brands such as: Too Faced, Tarte, and Nars will be continuing to keep there no testing policy.) Please keep in mind to always check the boxes or websites of brands to see which have a cruelty free logo. I will be keeping up with my "I don't buy if you test on animals" so many brands I have loved in the past I will stop buying from. I will start checking more often to see what brands will stop testing and which ones will start and keep everyone posted. I hope this helped and if you will like a list of the brands please check out

SNOW DAY!

So today I woke up and for the first time sense August I didn't check my twitter which was a real mistake sense I got ready, but it was a snow day. So I decided to tell you my makeup I am wearing and give mini reviews on it just because I have tons of time to do random things today.
-For face makeup I used "Makeup Forever HD foundation in 110" I got this from IMATS took em forever to get it (waited almost an hour) but I got it for a good price and love it, it doesn't dry out my skin and makes it feel nice and like I'm wearing nothing. (I out it on lightly) Then I used a "Tarte concealer" The newest one, which my friend got to to try and I really like it. Good colour, nice coverage, not too in love with the Price thou. Then to set all that I used "Too Face amazing face powder" which is a repurchase and I love it! its keep me matt but not cakey and its a product that lasts all day. Oh and on my cheek I used "Dolly Mix' by MAC which I borrowed from my mom.
-Eye/Lips I used to Urban Decay primer position, which is a lot of product for the price, I got a sample of it once and that lasted me 2-3months so I'm excited to see how long the larger one lasts me. The I used my naked two pallet also my Urban decay, only two colour of it, I used Tease which is a matt taupe colour that I love, then I used verve on the lid which is a shimmery sliver. the two go together so nicely and all the shadows Ive tired from Urban Decay seem amazing. Then I lined my upper water line with MAC's Smoulder eye liner, to make my lases look bigger then used Benefit They're real mascara" which I love! Then for lips I just through on a Revlon pink lip gloss in "Pink Pop" which I must say is so nice to wear all day!
So that it, I don't keep things I don't like, they either get returned or I give them to a friend who will get better use out of it. If I spend enough money on it and don't like it I will 100% return it because it wasn't worth it, but for the most part I don't do that because I look up everything I can about the product before I buy it. Which is one of the biggest tips i have about makeup. Look into what your buying.

Monday Again

So tomorrow is Monday which is sometimes but not always my favourite time of the week. Mondays are when the week is ready to start because Sunday,well you did all the things u need to do. For me I use all clean makeup brushes, all my clothes are done and hung up and my room is nice and clean. Mondays also makes me think of Friday and how turned around it will all become, Ill only have a few pieces of CLEAN clothing, my room Will be a mess and my makeup brushes will almost all be dirty. So sitting in my room with some paper bag curls in my hair because I wanted something different for the day made me think about how the week will go fast and before I know it, it will be this time again next week. So that all I wanted to say... maybe tomorrow I will have something more interesting maybe a makeup update for you all or maybe just another like this, I guess we will have to see :) BYE!

Don't Judge the Clothes

We all do it, judge people before knowing them. Its like a common thing and we do it without knowing it, out brains just know what we think of people and sometimes were right on the money and other times we are 100% off. It's almost like a force that drags us to do it and before we know it we are talking about them behind their back with our friends. Teenage girls are most known for doing this and I can say that because I am a teenage girl, but the truth is I do it and then catch myself but keep doing it.  Sometimes which tends be about 4/10 chance you can pin the person and who they are, but the other 6 times you can get them wrong. We most often then most judge on a persons outfit or just one piece of clothing, its like they are wearing a short skirt and a tang top they are a S*** and if they are wearing leggings and a team shirt they are a jock. Then you have the nerd group which can very from jeans and a tee shirt to a full on LARP outfit. (My school has tons of those LARPERS) Sometimes we get backed talked for talking about someone behind there back. A lot of the time people don't understand that it might not be our fault in saying that a lot of the time it is, clothes are the outward appearance of ones inner self so if we are raised to think that then how can people be mad at us for talking behind peoples back. These are the questions people never ask themselves. I wonder if everyone really dressed how they felt on the inside what our world would look like? Would we have lots of people wearing black or more colours? 
Well I have a history thing due tomorrow on Alexander the Great and would rather love to get to it so Have a good evening :) 

tomorrow = above zero!!

So when I looked up the weather forecast for tomorrow I was over joyed, its going to go back to above zero, today was about +7 which made me so overly happy you wouldn't believe. So I decided to pre-pick my outfit which for some will be normal but for others will be so weird. So I decided to write about it and share with you my nice winter weather staples. Now keep in mind I live in Canada so it gets very cold, but I know how to handle it now. ;) So to start off I love leggings or tights in the winter, they make everything so nice and cosy and work with almost anything. I prefer them in purple or brown and sometimes burgundy, guess it depends on my mood. Next is something bright and happy which for me is a floral skirt, now I know what you thinking "are you crazy a skirt in winter??" Nope I'm not I love wearing them and it makes me happy. Next is a cute white or cream shirt, I find the white or cream is a nice accent from the floral. Okay now over top of that is a cardigan, I find when I wear this outfit with the purple or brown tights I go for my olive green one,  then to finish it off I add a scarf and my bracelet and watch. Now if your wondering how I stay warm if I walk to my moms work or to lunch with friends its easy just with a nice warm pea coat, hat and some mittens. Also I wear cosy warm boots. :) 

Christmas party.. fashion down, makeup I think so!

Yesterday I had a Christmas party with the whole party treats, makeup giving, dressing up nicely :) it was amazing! Then two of my friends slept over less amazing considering I'm not the biggest people person and my friends I had to stay over were.... I don't know how to explain them but lets just say I went to my moms room to sleep rather then stay with them in my own room. In the end the first part of my day was spent cleaning my room. Ha Ha, not too bad because I would have had to do it anyways. well no heat hair week is over and well it was broke yesterday but I will 100% do it again soon too! maybe my birthday week (which is in January) will be a good idea then on my birthday whoa best hair ever ha ha yes that sounds like a good idea :) okay well I have to go do some stuff so talk to you all soon :) 

No Heat Hair Week :)

So this week I decided to do a "NO HEAT HAIR WEEK," to give my hair a break from all the abuse I give it. Unlike my skin who only has makeup on for around 10-12 hours or maybe even less then that on weekends, my hair takes a lot of abuse. I put heat on it almost everyday sometimes twice if I blow dry. So in light of it being the first week with snow and being very cold, I thought my hair could use a well deserved break from heat and hair spray and instead have a deep conduction and a head band. ;) Maybe this will become a yearly thing, you never know but I think I'm going to do these 6 times a year. November,January,march,may,July,Sept. Or maybe just when ever I feel like being super nice to my hair, we shall see :) Hope you have an amazing day or  night depending on where you are and if you want to join me please feel free to do so and leave a comment if you are. :D 

Winter vs. Fall

So today I broke out the hat, mittens, and even the scarf and layered up for the cold snowy day I was about to face. No dresses or skirts in this weather unless you wanted to snow to blow right from under them. Although I love the look of winter I cant help but want it to be fall again. Its almost like I wait all this time for it to happen, for the leaves to change and to wear skirts with tights and then all to quickly its taken by some white cold frozen water. I guess you could say winter is the Cooper in a chemical reaction while fall is sliver chloride, in this reaction the sliver would be booted out and copper would take its place next to chloride. No that reaction wasn't balanced and no I will not be taking the time to balanced it. All in All this is going to be short with me saying this. Winter is beautiful but I miss all the fall colour and my fashion because lets be honest who wants to wear a skirt in -10degree weather ;)

SNOW!

                 (Today I woke up to snow. Now being in Canada that did not come to much of a shock to me, it was normal November weather but at the same time it was not the best. At lest now we know it will be a white Christmas.)
                    Yesterday my friend and I came to my house to work on a project, and we should have known from past history that it would have been a time to talk makeup,fashion and to gossip with about 10 minutes of working on the project. We talked about how makeup can change your whole out look at school, grade 9 I didn't wear makeup or do my hair, I didn't even put anything into what I was going to wear. Fast forward two years and now I do my makeup, love to do my hair and put effort into what I wear. This helped me see that I liked school and after I started doing that my grades went up. Although my friends didn't change at all, I stayed with whom I started with and that was my best choice. Like everything else in this world somethings come and go, even friends. I was told that sometimes friends can be like trends which I now see that was true, because sometimes you'll have them and other times you don't. They go out of style for you or maybe you for them. The trick to finding good friends is the same for finding good clothes, go for good basics with a little colour and fun added in that complement you and you complement them. In the end you are too friends as friends are to you, a reflection of ones self image. 

IMATS Toronto 2012 :D

On Saturday I got to attend my first IMATS at the Toronto Congress Centre (near airport). Although I couldn't get to a few of the booths because the lines were huge and very hard to even see the products, I did end up getting brushes (vegan) and I grabbed a lipstick "Roman Holiday" by NARS, which if you have pale skin you need to get. It will become your staple! Also I got to the NAKED booth first so I got to two sets of those which were at an amazing price and those pigments can be used as any makeup item which is an added bones. Also I got the pleasure of feeling HAKUHODO brushes which were amazing! They are the softest brushes I ever felt, I didn't end up getting any but gosh they were just amazing.  IMATS was an over all amazing day and if you love makeup need to go there at some point in your life.

This was supposed to be posted on Sunday Nov 18 but I kept forgetting to put it up but all in all better late then never eh? Oh my I 100% forgot about this and now its like 3 months later so Im just going to post it now and see what happens... sorry! 

If We Wake Up

Every weekday it takes me 45 minutes to get ready and that includes my stomic. From makeup to hair to that great outfit everything is done. Even picking a lipstick will take a minute to do. With that said have you ever lied to yourself to get up? I tend to do it  more often then not, and sometimes I wonder why I believe myself. Its always silly things like "If you get up right now you can have cake for breakfast" or "You have a new lipstick to try so get up and use it." Or the one I tend to use the most "Moms outside the door waiting for you" which she is but down the hall and waiting to see what Im wearing to school. Today I used the "you have a new beauty item to use" which wasnt a lie I did have pigmits to use but once your done and just waiting around, you wonder why you get up so early. (My mom just walked in and tryed my lipstick... So I guess she really was outside my door. Its amazing when you have a mom with super plae skin like you, you can look good in the same things.) Its almost like you do all that just to wait around till everyone else is ready too so you can leave. You could always dobble check you makeup or change your outfit just to get in the one you started with, seems like the normol teenage girl thing.  Monday's what can you do? Well might as well go get my mom to sign some forms. Until next time. 

If the shoes fits

Boys are like shoes, you're going have to try a few pairs on to find the perfect match. Some shoes will put you in pain and you'll end up throwing them out, while others will make you feel comfortable and secure as you walk. Shoes at some points can make you feel like a new person, heels make you feel taller and therefore slimer but can sometimes be a pain. Sneaker will make you go faster but sometimes they can miss the mark, and boots will keep you warm in winter but very hot in the summer. NO shoes are perfect but sometimes its the imperfect that makes the perfection that makes you smile. 

One Dress, One Change

A single dress that looks and fits you so perfectly can make you feel like the perfect you. A lacy dress, maybe a blue dress or even a LBD. Those dresses have a power over you which makes you stand taller, smile bigger, or can even help you get the person you have that major crush on. That one dress can change you into the one person that you know you are on the inside but just bring onto the outside. It makes you into the person you know you can be fully in love with. Now don't get me wrong being in love with yourself can sometimes be bad if taken too far, but how can you love others if you don't love yourself?  Loving yourself, odd thing to think once you go into it. We don't really consider it until we find that perfect dress, look in the mirror and think "gosh I'm beautiful!" That moment changes the way you look at yourself in every piece of clothing you put on from that time on. It makes you only want things that make you feel amazing and really changes the over all way you view your clothing. 
Love yourself like you do in that perfect dress and your self confidence/the way you view yourself will be perfect and no one will be able to look at you without think your beautiful.
